Welcome to Bill Monroe Music Park and Campground located in Brown County, Indiana. As we bring our 2020 season to a close, we would like to thank everyone who came out and camped with us this past year. It certainly has been a difficult year, and we appreciate your support. We will be updating the website and our social media pages as we learn more about next year and how COVID19 will affect outdoor festivals and events.

  1. Hidden in the western Kansas prairie, Scott State Park is a startling oasis of natural springs, deep wooded canyons, and craggy bluffs. The 1,020-acre park surrounds the 100-acre, springfed Scott State Fishing Lake. The park has 55 utility campsites, including some with 50-amp service and water hookups.
  2. Scotts Flat Campground is on the north shore of Scotts Flat Lake, 9 miles east of Nevada City. The 2-mile long lake is popular for all kinds of recreation from waterskiing and wakeboarding to swimming and fishing. Steady afternoon breezes make the lake a favorite with local sailors. Kayaks and standup paddleboards are often seen on the lake.

Our full hookup camping sites, rental campers, cabins, shower house, restrooms, museum and camp store are closed for the season. Primitive dry camping is still be available, please call our office to make a reservation. Our office will remain open Monday-Friday 10 am - 3 pm to answer phone calls and emails.

Lake Skinner Overview. Lake Skinner Recreation Area is a Riverside County Park and has a campground with 257 campsites set up in 3 loops that are close to the lake. There are 199 full hookup sites, 18 sites with water & electric and 40 sites with water only. Loop A is closest to the lake and Loop C has the largest campsites. From McKenzie Bridge, travel east on Hwy 126 for 3 miles to Hwy 242.

Are you looking for a place to camp this winter? Do you love the outdoors or are you a full-time camper? We are now offering winter dry camping at the park. Beginning November 9 through March 31, you can dry camp with us and enjoy the beauty of winter.

The perks of winter camping – campground is empty, enjoy crisp air and quiet nights, the park is peaceful and there are no bugs to contend with. Our winter campsites are located in the front area of the park.

What you will have access to:
• 30 amp electric
• Hydrant to fill your water tank
• Dumpster for trash
• Dump station will be open
• Port-o-let near the sites
• Fire pit

FESTIVALS AND EVENTS - 2020 EVENTS CANCELLED..

Due to COVID19, our scheduled 2020 events and festivals were cancelled and/or postponed until 2021. We are working on specific dates for 2021 and will announce them via our social media platforms and our email list as soon as we can confirm the dates and how to move forward. We thank you for your understanding during these unprecedented times and look forward to seeing everyone hopefully again in 2021 for our annual festivals and events.

Known for some of the best bluegrass festivals in the country, the historic Bill Monroe Music Park & Campground is also one of the largest campgrounds in southern Indiana. The campground offers sites with water/electric, fire rings, picnic tables and is pet friendly. In addition to the camp sites, we have rustic and primitive cabins, 2 recreational campers and a home available to rent. The park is located just 5 miles from the town of Nashville, Indiana. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy throughout the day - mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, fishing, shopping, dining, live entertainment and the largest park in Indiana - Brown County State Park.

The family will enjoy exploring our 55 acres, catch and release fishing in Pastor Baggett Lake or bring your non-motorized boat. No Swimming allowed in the lake. We have an on-site camp store to purchase firewood, ice and some small essentials. Explore our Bill Monroe Museum and Gift Shop during your visit, free admission.

Overlooking the beautiful Lake Fork of the Gunnison River, surrounded by the breathtaking San Juan Mountains, relaxing to the whisper of our own natural waterfall, the Highlander RV Campground invites you to experience the best that Colorado has to offer.

Built on mining claims dating back to the early 1900s, we have 35 full hookup sites surrounded by Spruce and Aspen, nestled in the valley just north of Lake San Cristobal.

In 1993, Don and Diane Campbell, third generation Lake City residents began building the Highlander after retiring from a 22 year Air Force Career. Their oldest son Scott joined the crew after his own 22 year career in the Army. Sean and Amy have recently joined the crew after his 22 year career in the Air National Guard and Amy's 22 years of teaching in Michigan. Their business philosophy is simple; provide a beautiful place that your friends and relatives would enjoy, treat your guests as friends, and provide as many amenities as possible at a reasonable price. This philosphy has resulted in the Highlander receiving the highest ratings in the Lake City area from Good Sam's .
